The problem

High humidity and heavy bird activity leave droppings and water marks on the modules. Cleaning needs boats or work platforms — expensive and risky — a long-standing O&M problem for water-surface plants.

What we did

  1. Surveyed on-water access and planned zoned application
  2. Specialist cleaning to remove droppings, water marks and oil film
  3. Spray application from the work platform with controlled film thickness
  4. Ambient cure, then result confirmation and data collection
Results

Results and value

The super-hydrophilic surface sheets rain and carries dirt away; bird droppings no longer bond stubbornly. On-water manual cleaning drops sharply while light transmission and output improve.
