Painted-surface self-cleaning · Case study

Car paint self-cleaning coating application

Coated and uncoated areas in the same rain: one sheets evenly, the other is covered in droplets.

MethodSpray / wipe
ProductFeibo painted-surface self-cleaning coating
Background

The problem

Car paint collects dust, rain and tree sap daily; droplets dry into water marks and the car needs frequent washing.

Result: uncoated vs coated
Scope of work

What we did

  1. Cleaned the paint to remove dust and oil film
  2. Coated part of the panel, leaving an uncoated area for comparison
  3. Ambient cure, then water test
Results

Results and value

The coated area sheets rain into an even film that carries dirt away; the uncoated area is covered in droplets that leave marks — a clear, direct demonstration of the super-hydrophilic effect.
