Aluminium-panel curtain wall self-cleaning coating

Aluminium facades that streaked and yellowed after rain now self-clean, with far fewer gondola cleanings.

Project typeBuilding curtain wall
Applied toAluminium composite / coated aluminium panels
MethodSample test + spray application
ProductFeibo painted-surface self-cleaning coating
Background

The problem

Aluminium curtain walls sit in dust, acid rain and exhaust; drying rain leaves limescale streaks and large areas blacken and yellow. Gondola cleaning is costly and risky, and pressure or acid washing damages the panel coating.

Scope of work

What we did

  1. Surveyed panel material and soiling type
  2. Local sample spray with comparison test
  3. Specialist cleaning and surface preparation
  4. Zoned spray application with even film thickness
  5. Acceptance after cure, checking visual uniformity
Results

Results and value

Rain now sheets across the panels and carries dirt away instead of leaving streaks. High-level cleaning and gondola risk drop, and the panel coating lasts longer.
