Road and bridge GRC elements and carved ornaments that stained and yellowed now shed rain and stay clean.
The problem
GRC elements and carved ornaments along roads and bridges sit in exhaust, dust and rain: they yellow, blacken and streak. There are many of them spread over a wide area, pressure washing damages the surface and maintenance costs keep rising.
What we did
- Surveyed substrate condition and defined the scope
- Sample test for waterproofing and stain resistance
- Surface cleaning and preparation
- Two-layer application: nano protective primer + nano self-cleaning top coat
- Before/after comparison and result testing after cure
Results and value
Treated elements now sheet rain and shed dust and exhaust grime — the before/after contrast is clear. The internal barrier stops water absorption and efflorescence, extending element life and reducing municipal cleaning rounds.
